Nourishing Blend Tea
This blend features the superstars of nutritive, high mineral herbs. Probably everyone on earth should be drinking this to supplement nutrients not found in modern foods, but this is particularly useful tea during the vital stages of women's reproduction.
Often sold as NORA tea, a well known prescription for a healthy pregnancy and smooth, effective labor, I have added hibiscus for its tart flavor, vitamin C, and beautiful pink color.
Nettle (Stinging Nettle / Urtica dioica)
A nutrient-dense herb rich in iron, calcium, magnesium, and vitamins. It supports reproductive health by nourishing the blood, enhancing circulation to build a healthy uterine lining, aiding hormonal balance (especially in PCOS by reducing free testosterone), and promoting fertility through overall nourishment and anti-inflammatory effects.
Red Raspberry Leaf (Rubus idaeus)
A classic uterine tonic that strengthens and tones uterine muscles. It supports reproductive health by easing menstrual cramps, promoting regular cycles, improving uterine tone for better fertility preparation, and providing minerals to nourish the reproductive tract.
Oatstraw (Avena sativa)
The milky tops of oats serve as a gentle nervine and nutritive tonic. It benefits the reproductive system by nourishing the endocrine glands (including ovaries and uterus), supporting hormone balance and ovulation, calming the nervous system to reduce stress-related fertility issues, and aiding libido or sexual health.
Alfalfa (Medicago sativa)
A highly nutritive legume sprout/leaf packed with vitamins (A, K, B), minerals, and phytoestrogens. It supports reproductive health through overall nourishment, potential hormone-modulating effects, improved ovulation and fertility (in some studies), and benefits like enhanced milk production postpartum or sperm parameters in men.
Hibiscus (Hibiscus sabdariffa)
The tart calyces are used for teas with phytoestrogen content. Traditionally, it supports reproductive health by helping regulate menstrual cycles and hormones.
